Representing 90% of all businesses globally and two‑thirds of employment, MSMEs are at the heart of job creation, economic diversification, and inclusive prosperity.
In Nigeria alone, they generate 90% of employment and contribute nearly 50% of GDP, yet face persistent hurdles: limited access to affordable finance, challenges adopting digital tools, and adapting to green, sustainable practices.
Despite these barriers, MSMEs are boldly driving SDG 8 (Decent Work & Economic Growth) and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation & Infrastructure).
